Transaction Fees

At easy-donate, we want to ensure complete transparency regarding transaction fees incurred when making payments through our platform. Please note that these fees are not levied by easy-donate Inc; they are charged by our payment provider, Stripe, for each successful transaction. Below, we provide detailed information about Stripe's transaction fees as of August 18th, 2021.

Stripe Credit Card Fee

Stripe charges the following transaction fees for credit card payments:

• Percentage Fee: 2.9% of the total transaction amount
• Fixed Fee: 30 cents per successful card charge

This fee structure applies to all successful credit card transactions processed through easy-donate.

Stripe Bank Account/ACH Fee

If you choose to make payments using a bank account or ACH (Automated Clearing House), Stripe charges the following transaction fee:

• Percentage Fee: 0.8% of the total transaction amount
• Capped Fee: This fee is capped at $5.00, meaning you won't be charged more than $5.00 for ACH transactions.

It's important to note that direct transfers from a bank account are typically a more cost-effective option compared to credit card transactions.

Credit Card Payment - Example Fee Breakdown

To help you understand how these fees are calculated, let's take an example of a $10.00 donation:

• Fixed Fee: $0.30 (This is a constant fee charged by Stripe for each transaction).
• Percentage Fee: (10.00 + 0.30) * 0.029 = $0.2987 (approximately).

The total fee for this transaction is the sum of the fixed fee and the percentage fee:

Total Fee = $0.30 + $0.2987 ≈ $0.60 (60 cents)

So, for a $10.00 donation made via credit card, the transaction fee would be approximately 60 cents.
